We hope you have had a chance to explore the new App “Menopause Tracker” that was mentioned in our last blog. After reviewing this information, you will have learned that 1/3 of a woman’s life is lived after reaching menopause. The average life expectancy in the late 1800’s was only 47 years of age. In Canada, a women’s average life expectancy is 85 years of age. This change has happened at an accelerated rate due to modern medicine; it makes one wonder if evolutionary changes will allow women to become menpausal at a later stage of their life, thereby preserving hormones for a greater portion of our lifespan. Stay tuned for our next blog to understand the value of female hormones.
